Getting Started

What is Spashta?
Spashta is an AI-powered financial health advisor built specifically for Shopify sellers. You enter 13 data points about your store — things like your selling price, Shopify plan, ad spend, and shipping cost. Spashta runs the calculations and sends the results to an AI model that writes a personalised 6-section financial health report for your store.

The report tells you your true net profit after every fee, where your money is leaking, how your ads are actually performing, when you break even each month, and the single highest-value action you can take right now.

The key difference from your Shopify dashboard: Spashta shows you what you're actually keeping, not what you're earning.
How long does it take?
Filling in the form takes approximately 3 minutes. Most fields — your selling price, order count, ad spend — you'll know from memory. A few fields like your exact return rate or total app subscription costs may require a quick check of your Shopify admin. The analysis itself runs in 8 to 12 seconds once you submit.
Do I need to connect my Shopify store?
No. Spashta currently works through manual data entry — you enter your numbers directly into the form. There is no Shopify app, no integration, and no account connection required. This means your store data stays entirely with you. We never access your Shopify account directly.

Shopify API integration is on the roadmap for a future release, which will allow automatic data pulling for repeat analyses.
How accurate is the analysis?
Spashta's calculations are based on real Shopify fee structures — plan costs, transaction fee percentages by plan, Shopify Payments processing rates, and standard return impact models. The accuracy of your report depends directly on the accuracy of the numbers you enter. More precise inputs produce more precise outputs.

The AI writes the advisory narrative — it interprets and explains the calculated numbers. The calculations themselves are done in JavaScript before the AI ever sees them, which eliminates arithmetic errors completely.

Understanding Your Report

01
Your Real Numbers
Gross revenue, true net profit, true margin, and monthly fee leak. These four numbers give you the honest financial picture of your store after every cost has been accounted for. True net profit is the number that matters — it's what you actually keep.
02
Where Your Money Goes
Every cost ranked by size with its percentage of revenue. COGS, ad spend, Shopify plan, transaction fees, payment processing, shipping, returns, and apps. The bar chart next to each cost shows relative scale so you can see at a glance where the biggest drains are.
03
Fee Leak Analysis
Transaction fees, app subscriptions, payment processing, and returns each assessed with a verdict — Healthy, Reducible, Elevated, or High. Each one includes a specific explanation and, where applicable, a savings opportunity with a dollar figure.
04
Ad Efficiency
Your real ROAS — real profit per dollar spent on ads, not just revenue ROAS. Benchmarked against the $1.50 healthy threshold. If you're below $1.50, your ads are generating less real profit than they cost. Section 6 will surface this as the priority action if it's your largest recoverable opportunity.
05
Break-Even Reality
How many orders you need to cover all fixed costs before a single dollar of real profit is made. Includes your break-even date — the day of the month you crossed into profit — and a dot visualisation showing cost-recovery orders vs profitable orders.
06
Your Priority Action
One specific action with a specific dollar figure. Not a list of suggestions — one thing, the highest-value opportunity identified in your numbers this month. Determined by calculating the monthly dollar impact of every possible improvement and surfacing the largest one.

The Health Score

How is the health score calculated?
The health score is a 0–100 composite score built from four weighted components:

True margin (up to 40 points) — Your net profit margin as a percentage of revenue. Capped at 60% margin = full 40 points.

Fee leak ratio (up to 25 points) — How much of your revenue is being consumed by avoidable fees. Lower fee leakage = higher score.

Ad efficiency ROAS (up to 20 points) — Your real profit per dollar spent on ads benchmarked against the $3 strong threshold.

Return rate (up to 15 points) — Penalty applied above the 8% healthy threshold. A return rate above 8% reduces this component.
Score zones — what each range means
0–44
Needs Attention
Significant structural issues. Priority action is urgent.
45–59
Fair
Some problems present. At least one major leak to fix.
60–74
Good Health
Store is profitable with room to improve.
75–100
Excellent
Strong economics. Focus on scaling what's working.

Your Priority Action

How does Spashta decide what the priority action is?
Spashta calculates the estimated monthly dollar impact of every possible improvement for your store — plan upgrade savings, ad efficiency recovery, return rate reduction, app stack audit — and surfaces the one with the highest dollar value.

It's not a fixed rule list. A seller with a plan upgrade saving of $60/month but a ROAS problem worth $600/month will get the ad efficiency action, not the plan upgrade. The math drives the decision, not a predetermined hierarchy.
The priority action doesn't seem relevant to my situation. Why?
The priority action is only as relevant as the data you enter. If you entered an estimated return rate rather than your actual rate, or approximated your ad spend, the system may have calculated a different priority than what you're experiencing.

Run the analysis again with more precise numbers — particularly your return rate, total landed cost, and app subscriptions total — and the priority action should align more closely with your real situation.

Plans & Billing

What's the difference between the plans?
Starter ($19) — One month of access. Full analysis, full report, full priority action. Best if you want to try the product or run a one-off health check.

Growth ($39) — Three months of access. Run analyses across multiple months to track how your financial health changes as you make improvements.

Pro ($69) — Six months of access. Best value for ongoing financial monitoring.

Monthly ($29/mo) — Ongoing rolling access. Cancel anytime.

Annual ($199/yr) — Best long-term rate. Includes AI intelligence features when available.

All plans include the full 6-section report, health score, and priority action.
What is the founding member benefit?
The first 100 customers to purchase any plan become founding members. Founding members receive 50% off all future Spashta products — including new features, upgraded plans, and any tools we build next. This is a permanent benefit, not a temporary discount. Once the 100 founding member spots are filled, this offer closes.

Your Data & Privacy

Is my financial data stored?
No raw financial data is stored. The numbers you enter — your cost price, selling price, ad spend — are used only to run your analysis and are deleted immediately after your report is generated. We don't sell them and we don't keep them in our database after your report is generated. Generating the report does involve sending them to our AI processor (Anthropic) at the moment of analysis — Anthropic doesn't use API inputs to train its models by default. See our Privacy Policy for full details.

Only the calculated report outputs — your health score, fee leak breakdown, AI narrative, and priority action — are saved to your account history so you can review past reports. The raw financial numbers you entered are not retained.
What regulations does Spashta comply with?
Spashta is built in Australia and complies with the Australian Privacy Act 1988. The platform is also compatible with GDPR for users in the European Union. All data is encrypted in transit via SSL. We do not sell, share, or monetise your data in any form.
